Access to education is a fundamental human right, but for children from impoverished families, even the most basic school supplies can be a significant financial burden. This can lead to a cycle of poverty, as children who cannot afford books and stationary may be forced to drop out of school.

To address this pressing issue, the Raja Education and Bahuuddeshiya Society launched a program to distribute free school books and stationary to poor students. The program aims to ensure that all children have the opportunity to pursue their education, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

Since the inception of the program, the Raja Education and Bahuuddeshiya Society has been able to provide school supplies to 1585 students. These supplies have included textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other essential items. The program has been particularly effective in preventing students from dropping out of school due to the cost of education.

The last distribution of school books and stationary took place on 01 July, 2024. The event was a heartwarming occasion, witnessing the joy and gratitude of the children as they received their new supplies.

The program has been made possible thanks to the generous support of donors. A total of INR 3,73,000 has been spent on procuring and distributing the school supplies.

The Raja Education and Bahuuddeshiya Society believes that this program has had a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries. By providing them with the necessary school supplies, the organization has helped to remove one of the barriers to their education. This has enabled them to focus on their studies and realize their full potential.

Moreover, the program has helped to boost the self-esteem of the children. Receiving new school supplies can make them feel valued and supported, encouraging them to take pride in their education.

The Raja Education and Bahuuddeshiya Society remains committed to helping poor students stay in school. The organization will continue to work towards providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed.
